2021 so far
So we're 5 days into 2021 and these were some of my goals for the year:
-Finish my Luna fic (doing the GYWO challenge with a goal of 75k words for the year)
-Read 52 books
-Mod the Year of Middlemarch reading challenge
-Participate in the Year of Count of Monte Cristo reading challenge
-Move my body more!
Progress so far:
-Written at least 600 words per day, ahead of the curve with the GYWO challenge
-Started reading 4 books (2 of them long-term reads, Middlemarch and Monte Cristo)
-Made my first discussion post for the Year of Middlemarch challenge, and it went super well, yay!
-Kept up with the Year of Count of Monte Cristo challenge
-Done yoga 2 mornings so far, went on 3 (or possibly 4? what is time?) brisk walks.
I'd call that good progress! Like many people, I have a tendency to start the year off strong and then taper off, but I figure it's better to do some good things at least some of the time, instead of not trying at all.

New year, new blogging platform
First day of 2021! I'm not one for super specific, measurable resolutions but I like to spend some time thinking in broad strokes about what I want to accomplish in the year. Finding more time to write and finishing my current longfic were top of the list, and looking for supportive year-round writing communities (not just NaNo) led me here. I never had an LJ but I've always had that weird flavor of FOMO nostalgia for it, so here I am!

-My primary fandom is HP and I'm an eclectic reader and writer. My current big project is a sprawling AU about Luna Lovegood and blood magic. I also have some ideas for original fiction but I enjoy writing fan fic more right now.
-I love to read. My reading goal for 2021 is 52 books (1 per week)
-When I'm not crippled by pandemic anxiety I like to make my own soap.
-I have 2 cats, one is a prim and proper old lady and the other is a chaote trickster god.
-I game, some favorites are Animal Crossing, Stardew Valley, Crusader Kings III, Minecraft, Dragon Age: Origins and Fable 2.
